Keep Track of Your Menstrual Cycle

When trying to conceive a child, take note of you menstrual cycles. Doing so will helps you determine the perfect times for attempting to get pregnant. Once you are pregnant, the fact that you kept a close schedule of these cycles will allow you to locate the date you would have conceived with near-pinpoint accuracy.

Hire a Doula

Look into hiring a doula, who can help with delivering your baby. A doula specializes in providing support to a pregnant woman such as helping you on how to prepare for giving birth and provide you with all the support you need in order to make pregnancy as easy and as comfortable to you.

Keep a Journal

Keep a journal during your pregnancy. Many years down the road, a child will be delighted to read the pages of a pregnancy journal. Record your thoughts about your pregnancy, and your wishes for your unborn child. As your child ages he will appreciate this special gift that describes all of your hopes for him while you were pregnant.

Avoid Alchohol at Social Events

When you are at a social function but you don't wish others to know you are pregnant, there are options for avoiding alcohol without it being a big deal. When a friend or even a stranger ask you are not drinking,  you can easily say that you are under medication that and was advised by the doctor not to drink alchohol. If you really need to pretend, cranberry juice sipped from a wine glass will do the trick. You may need to get your partner to help with this charade though.

Take Pictures

The shape of your body will change as your pregnancy progresses, so how about taking some photos as this happens? The progress of your baby's growth can be interesting, but parenting a new baby can make you forget all about it, so the pictures will help preserve this interesting data.

Stay off Caffeine

Don't go overboard with the caffeine. Caffeine may cause problems for your developing baby. This is the reason it is very important to stay away from caffeine when you are pregnant.


When you are pregnant, exercise is still important as it keeps your body fit, making it easier for you to give birth.  around the body. However, you should only do slight exercises and those that are only intended for pregnant women to avoid exhaustion or damage to the baby. A woman that has a healthy body has a higher chance of getting pregnant and recovers from postpartum effects easily. It will also reduce the risk of premature birth and miscarriage.
